Regenerative Growth Therapy

Regenerative Growth Therapy is used in hair restoration for natural looking results.

This is suitable for both men and women. It is a state of the art, non surgical, totally natural, alternative medical procedure used for the treatment of hair loss or hair thinning. It is an injectable treatment which uses the patient’s own blood. Our blood plasma contains active growth factors which can promote hair growth. Helping to restore one’s confidence, the end result is a fuller, healthier looking head of hair.

The cost of this hair treatment can be discussed at your initial consultation.
Regenerative Growth Therapy is also being used in conjunction with some hair transplant procedures.

As all treatments, it may not work in every single patient but the results are very promising.

Frequently Asked Questions About Regenerative Growth Therapy

Does it hurt?
Most patients experience minimal discomfort during the treatment. In some cases we can use a topical anesthetic or even local anesthesia.
What are the risks?
There is no risk of an allergic reaction with Regenerative Growth Therapy because the enriched plasma has been produced from the patient’s own blood. A concentrated amount of white blood cells make up part of the Regenerative Growth Therapy which are the body’s natural defenders against infections. Infections are therefore extremely rare.
How long do the treatments take?
The actual procedure normally takes between 20 and 45 minutes, depending upon the area’s being treated.
Do I need to repeat this treatment?
Depending upon the patient’s individual needs and treatment plan, Regenerative Growth Therapy can be repeated. We will discuss your plan during your initial consultation.
Is there a recovery period/downtime after treatments?
There is no activity restriction after your treatment. You may shower/shampoo/condition their hair normally just a few hours after the treatment and resume normal daily and athletic activities. As mentioned previously, some brief mild inflammation noticeable as redness/pinkness and numbness of the scalp may be present for several hours. No harsh chemical coloring or perming treatments should be performed for at least 72 hours. Use of topical hair growth treatments like Minoxidil or similar can resume the next day. Laser therapy treatments can also be resumed the next day.
Are there any contraindications or other factors that would make someone ineligible?

Patients should be educated by the Physician as to what results they could expect in various areas of the scalp. Different areas of the scalp may respond differently depending on the amount of weak hair follicles present in each zone. Generally, with the exception of small round areas of alopecia areata, locations where severe depletion of follicles has occurred should not be treated. The vast majority of healthy individuals can easily undergo treatments. Certain conditions like blood and platelet disorders, chronic liver disease, presence of an active severe infection, cardiovascular or hemodynamic instability and/or the presence of anti-coagulation therapy (e.g. warfarin) would make Regenerative Growth Therapy contraindicated. Recent steroid treatments and smoking are relative contraindications and should be discussed with our Physician.
